Energy Commission Webinar: Proposed 2022 Energy Code Industrial Process Measures – Controlled Environmental Horticulture and Steam Trap Monitoring

California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will conduct a series of workshops to present and discuss proposed changes to the 2022 California Energy Code (Energy Code). The goal of these workshops is to solicit feedback from concerned or affected members of the public before the start of the formal rulemaking process.

This webinar will include staff presentations on proposed new standards for controlled environmental horticulture and for steam trap monitoring as commercial and/or industrial processes in the 2022 Energy Code. There will be opportunities for public comment.

Specific measures and topics of discussion include, but are not limited to:

  • Controlled Environment Horticulture
    • Lighting efficacy
    • Efficient dehumidification and reuse of transpired water
    • Greenhouse envelope
  • Steam Trap Monitoring
