Nonresidential Refrigeration
The 2025 code cycle refrigeration CASE report will propose a minimum specific efficiency for all non-process cooling/freezing evaporators used in refrigerated warehouses. -
Nonresidential and Multifamily Elevators – No Longer Being Considered for the 2025 Code Cycle
This measure would look to modify or add to Section 120.6(f) in Title 24, Part 6 to incorporate additional mandatory performance requirements for elevators. Efforts would be focused on analyzing the cost-effectiveness of incorporating energy efficiency requirements for elevators in high-rise buildings. -
Nonresidential Laboratory Airflow
This proposal includes requirements for nighttime set-back controls (or other demand-based controls); alignment with ASHRAE 90.1, section 6.5.7.3 allowing an alternate compliance pathway using exhaust air heat recovery; and a variable fan control on the exhaust fan for reducing fan speeds. -

Nonresidential Controlled Environment Horticulture
The Statewide CASE Team proposes to evaluate two Controlled Environment Horticulture (CEH) measures for the 2025 Title 24, Part 6 cycle. CEH includes both greenhouses and indoor growing spaces. The proposed measures aim to save energy and water while maintaining crop quality and yield in both greenhouses and indoor grow facilities. -
Nonresidential Commercial Kitchens UPDATE: DKV is no longer being considered for the 2025 code cycle.
This proposal covers two measures related to commercial kitchens: demand control kitchen ventilation (DCKV), and all-electric readiness requirements.
