Energy Commission Webinar: Proposed 2022 Energy Code Nonresidential Lighting, Air Distribution and HVAC Controls
California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will conduct a series of workshops to present and discuss proposed changes to the 2022 California Energy Code (Energy Code). The goal of these workshops is to solicit feedback from concerned or affected members of the public before the start of the formal rulemaking process.

Proposed 2022 Energy Code Nonresidential Lighting, Air Distribution and HVAC Controls

This webinar will include staff presentations on proposed updates to nonresidential lighting, air distribution and nonresidential HVAC control sections of the 2022 Energy Code. There will be opportunities for public comment. Specific measures and topics of discussion include, but are not limited to:
- Nonresidential indoor lighting
- Lighting power densities
- Multi-zone occupancy sensing in large offices
- Nonresidential air distribution
- Fan power budget
- Fan energy index
- Nonresidential HVAC controls
- Dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS)
- Exhaust air heat recovery
- Variable air volume system deadband airflow
